August 26 Belgium Solanas

Along with her surname, Belgium Solanas shares more than a few similarities with radical feminist Valerie Solanas. A razor sharp intellect, an aversion to hypocrisy, a desire for the spotlight and a propensity for violence when all else fails. An ageless shapeshifter and force of evil and sexuality, in her current guise Belgium is a supermodel, cannibal and serial killer. An intoxicating actress and performer and staple on the underground night scene of Osaka (performance videos are available here), Belgium has starred in and written numerous short films. In 2012, along with frequent KKBB camera person Justin Hutchins, Belgium won a government sponsored contest to produce a short commercial promoting Osaka. The prize package included a trip to Paris where another KKBB film was shot, along with a professional commercial shoot written by Hutchins and Belgium which aired on Japanese TV. The resulting commercial was both entertaining and subversive, a wonderful testament to Belgium’s ability to walk the thin line between clownery and darkness. Belgium is known for her towering physique, couture and trash fashion sensibility and dark red hair.!belgium/c11m7
